My father Donald was born on September second 1958 in Trenton Michigan to his father Douglas S Tait and his mother Catherine W. Tait. He grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan state university with a bachelors in geology. He then met my mother in 1985 and they got married in 1987. From there they moved to California shortly after and lived in Torrance for some time until they had me and we then moved to El Dorado Hills, California and shortly after we moved to San Diego, California.

My father was an amazing man, he was passionate about everything he did no matter how big or small it was. He was an accomplished assistant scout master and volunteered with the junior rifle program at the south bay rod and gun club, he has earned the rank of distinguished expert in smallbore rifle and pistol. He loved Jack Russell Terriers and was an active member of the national jack Russell terrier club.

My Dad had seemingly infinite knowledge about anything and everything from navigating the sierras to building various woodworking projects to complicated questions about issues in this world he seemingly knew it all. My father had a unique sense of humor and could make you laugh at anything and everything even my own sometimes silly command of the English language and silly mannerisms. He taught me everything that has led me to be successful today and in my own humble opinion he is the best and most loving father a son could ask for. My mother and I love him dearly and he will be missed by us and everybody who knew him.
