Donny walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 7th, 2015, at the age of 32. Donny was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Jenkins Jones, of Lothian, MD; and paternal grandfather Donald Fridell Sr., of Adelphi, MD.

Donny is survived by his parents, Donny and Shelly Fridell of Lothian, MD; his sister Katy Fridell Turner of Bowie, MD; his brother Matthew Fridell of Lothian, MD; his grandfather Lawrence (Pete) Jones of Lothian; his grandmother Marguerite (Mom) Fridell Skoll of Potomac, MD, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew, and friends.

Donny attended Prince George’s County Public Schools in Laurel, MD, where he graduated from Laurel Senior High School in 2000.

Donny was an avid lover of sports and played hockey from the age of 5 until his health took him away from his favorite game. He loved the Washington Capitols, the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Redskins, NASCAR and Wrestling. He never missed a game, race or match.

Besides watching his favorite players like Alex Ovechkin, Dale Hunter, Todd Krieger, Cal Ripken Jr. and Jeff Gordon, he also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family every day, playing video games and watching movies. He also loved going shopping and would pick out numerous things – all for other people. Donny was extremely kind and thoughtful and had a huge heart. He really enjoyed dancing and every time he went to a wedding, he was the first and last one on the dance floor. He loved drawing and writing poetry for his family and friends.

Donny touched so may lives and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud of to call a son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin or friend.
