Donald L. Wernstrum, 79, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Ottawa Pavilion. Donald was born on February 15, 1932, in Marseilles to Roy and Grace (Allen) Wernstrum.
He served in the Army at Okinawa, Japan. He married Rita Maierhofer in Ottawa on August 8, 1953.
He is survived by one daughter Lorilyn (Gary) Bailey, of California, 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Shane, one great-grandson, Tyler, and one brother Ray (Helen) Wernstrum, of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rita, 2 brothers Ray and Roy, and 2 sisters, Viola and Royce.
