Donald L. Shields, 78, of Rowlesburg died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Pruitt Health, Rock Hill SC.
He was born January 16, 1937, in Tunnelton, a son of the late Everett and Mary Wilhelm Shields.
Mr. Shields was a loving husband, father and brother. He served in the US Army during peacetime. He was a Tower Operator for CSX Transportation. Donald was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Rowlesburg and the VFW.
He is survived by his Children, Scott Goff and wife, Kathy of Clayton, NC and Melissa Carkitto and husband, John of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Opal Myers and husband, Ben of Aurora and two grandchildren, Sophie and Cale Goff.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine Shaffer Shields in 2009.
