Donald L. Malo

Leominster – Donald L. Malo, 93, died Monday, December 5, 2016, at LifeCare of Leominster. He was born December 24, 1922, son of the late Charles and Emma (Cormier) Malo. Donald served in the US Army during WWII, with the Combat Battalion Company B 1340th Engineer Division. He received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Don worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Wareham Post Office, for 27 years, prior his retirement. He had a love for music, especially enjoying the Big Band Sounds of Glen Miller. Don always liked to make people laugh, saying that was ‘ better than any medicine you could take’.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mercy Malo, and many nieces and nephews.

Don was the last surviving sibling of his family. He was predeceased by brothers; Alvin Malo, Armand Malo and Paul Malo, sisters; Viola Osborn, Jeannette Sadin and Lorraine Ledden, and his son David Malo.
