Donald L. Hartman, age 79, of Rome, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, with his family at his side.
He was born June 9, 1942, in Syracuse, a son of the late Donald H. and Kathryn B. Morton Hartman, and graduated from Westmoreland Central School in 1960. Don was united in marriage to the former Charlene Hazzard on October 20, 1962, in St. Peter’s Church. He worked at Revere Copper Products in Rome, retiring in 2003, after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church.
Don is survived by his wife, Charlene; four children, Crystal Hartman, Daniel L. (Lisa) Hartman, David L. (Linda) Hartman, and Darrick (Doreen) Hartman; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Kenneth, Justin, Jennifer (Steven) Hartman Skinner, Jarrod, Lacey and Kaylee Hartman; and two great grandchildren, Savannah and Avery Hartman; two brothers, Dale F. (Nancy) Hartman, Denis J. (Anne) Hartman; two sisters, Sheila B. (Robert) Hoffman and Arlene C. (Chester)Lewis; and a sister in law, Marilyn Hartman. All his nieces and nephews, were special to him. Don was the Godfather to his nephew Denis, and the four Bordiuk children, Cindy, Cathy, Robin and David. He was predeceased by a brother, Gene T. Hartman.
