Donald Knox Goshay of Golden, Missouri died December 15, 2007 at his home in Emerald Beach. Mr. Goshay was born May 28, 1928 in Hollywood, California to the late Donald and Mary Goshay. Donald served his country during World War 11 in the U.S. Army and also in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Hollywood High School and the University of California at Los Angeles with degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Mr.Goshay was a Registered Professional Engineer in both California and Missouri. He was employed at Douglas Aircraft as a research engineer during the early space program. He was one of 50 scientists to go on an expedition for National Geographic to observe the eclipse of the sun. He was last employed as Director of Engineering for McCullough Corp., Los Angeles. On October 15, 1966 he was united in marriage to Helen Wiczenski. In his spare time Donald enjoyed boating, piloting and was a radio ham operator. He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church Survivors include his wife Helen, of the home, two sons, William and Edward Goshay of California, one daughter, Marie Main of California, two brothers Robert Goshay and Michael Goshay, two sister Marguarite ODonnell of California and Loraine Stahr of Oregon. Nine grandchildren, one stepdaughter Trisha and her husband Richard Espolt of Georgetown, Texas and also one step-grandson, Jeffrey Foster of Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one step-grandson Garrett Foster.
