Donald K. Olson, age 86, of Geneva, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born January 10, 1936, in Geneva, Illinois the son of Sig and Ida (Haumschild) Olson.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. He worked for Burgess Norton where he met his future wife, Carol and retired from Fermilab as a Design Engineer after more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Carol (Anderson); children Donald (Laura) of Geneva, Cathy Olson of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Christopher (Tracie) of Geneva; grandchildren Joshua (Lauren) of Geneseo, Daniel (Ashley) of Elburn, Nathan of Geneva, Jonathan (Crystal) of St. Charles, Derick Niss of Denver, Colorado, Karilyn (Ryan) Dayton of Wisconsin, Breanna (Rob) Jurgensen of Oklahoma, Emma Olson of Geneva, and Kate Olson of Geneva; great-grandchildren Hunter, Macey, Dylan, Mackenzie, Lucas, Piper, Ida, Zane, Paxton; and many other dear relatives and friends.
