Donald (Don) John Wineke, 84, died peacefully at his home with his loving family beside him on Saturday, June 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois in 2001. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Kathryn Sue Horrell and Carol Ann Grube, his son-in-law Jack Horrell. He leaves behind six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Don brought his family to Canon in 1959. He procured employment at the school district as a custodian. He was loved by the staff and the children he worked around. After retiring, Don and Lois spent several years traveling to Mexico in their 5th wheel.
