Donald Jeffrey Cantrell, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away surrounded by family and friends on June 30, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer. True to his motto of the past 3 years, he Never Gave Up. Born on June 12, 1954 to Harril Cantrell and Audrey “June” Cantrell, Don was an adventurer from the start and, ironically, very tidy, with a room that was always in order and impeccable style that he carried throughout his life. Don was a family man and prankster his entire life. Don found his best friend, his travel buddy, his card partner, business partner, and love of his life with wife Lori. They were a powerful and inseparable team.
Don is likely best known for his entrepreneurial spirit, opening his first Round Table at the young age of 24 and later going independent with The Idaho Pizza Company.
When Don wasn’t building a business, he was travelling the globe with his favorite travel companion, Lori, annoying her with children’s music and practical jokes. As Don would always say, “This ain’t Burger King, you get it my way”, or, if anyone asked the question “Why?” his answer was often “Because I can”.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially poker, priding himself in beating a World Poker Tour champion.
Don is survived by his wife, Lori, his children Andrea, Justin, Sierra, Nekolla and Jake, as well as his mother Audrey “June”, brothers Ron and Gene, his sisters Charlene and Renee, 10 beautiful grandchildren, and many loving extended family members.
