Donald Joseph Probert, 87 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday December 31, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Donald was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Toms River, NJ until retiring to Spring Hill, FL.  Donald then returned to his family in Toms River, NJ.

He proudly served his country in the US Army. During his 25-plus year career as a chemical operator at Ciba Geigy, Don founded a family business with his wife Jean, in 1975 known as D’Jais Salon and Spa. The business is proudly operating within the family today.  When retired in Spring Hill, FL, Don pursued his dream career on a golf course.  He had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him.

He enjoyed dancing, darts, golf, visiting his American Legion Post 129, and watching the Giants play. Donald is predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary Probert, his beloved wife, Jean Mary Probert, his brother Edward Joseph Probert, and daughter Colleen Probert Faircloth.

Donald was the treasured father of his surviving children; Donna Probert Farano and her husband Victor of Barnegat, NJ, Gail Probert and her wife Maureen Scianimanico of Bayville, NJ, Elaine Probert McAleavey and her husband Mike of Bayville, NJ, Marilyn Probert Pandya and her husband Opie of Mahwah, NJ , and Glenn Probert and his wife Lisa of Toms River, NJ.   He was adored by his 18 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, and loved by his brother-in-law, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
