Donald J. Ball, 86, of Oceanport, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Proud of his military service, Donald served 3 years in the US Army, from 1951-1954, during the Korean War. He served as Private First Class and received 3 service medals before being honorably discharged. After his military service, Donald worked for many years as a supervisor with the State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Office of Weights and Measures, retiring in 1992. Donald was an avid collector of antiques, including clocks, radios, watches and cars. He was a lifetime member of the New Jersey Antique Radio Club, the National Association of Watch and Clocks Collectors, Antique Automobile Club of America and the North Shore Antique Automobile Club. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan Ball, his cherished daughter, Carol Cuttler and husband Ken, his devoted grandchildren, Ryan and Michael Cuttler and his precious grand-dogs, Rosie and Rocky.
