Donald Harold Miller, 94, of Metamora, IL, passed away peacefully at his step-daughter’s home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born on April 8, 1927 in Lacon, IL to Jasper W. and Clara M. (Kerker) Miller. He married Esther C. (Schaidle, Bachman) on September 11, 1982 at St.
Surviving are his one step-daughter, Bonnie (Rodney) Nauman of Metamora; one step-son, Bob (Diane) Bachman of Westpoint, IN; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Schaidle and Walter (Pat) Schaidle; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Schaidle and Hildegard Haedicke.
Don was a U.S. Korean War Army Veteran, having served in Germany. He was a farmer in Central Illinois for many years and retired from Metamora Woodworking (Hallmark Fixture Plant) in 1992 after twenty-five years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially teaching them how to drive. He was a member of St.
