Donald H. Erb, 43, of Cherry Valley formerly of Dakota passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Born September 22, 1971 in Oak Park, IL he was the son of Barbara A. Walker and Thomas A. Erb. Don was a 1990 graduate of Dakota High School. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 364 and worked as a residential wireman for many years.
For the last five years he worked for Canadian National Railroad as a signal maintainer. He had a passion for model railroads and playing the drums in various local bands.
Surviving are his mother Barbara A.(Kenneth) Atz of Rockford, father Thomas A.(Cecelia) Erb of De Soto, WI; sister Karen (Joel) Wise of rural Freeport; five nephews; aunts, uncles, stepbrothers and stepsister.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
