Mr. Goodnight died Friday at his home in Temple. He was born July 21, 1928 in Salado to Henry Ernest and Lola Pearl (Pirtle) Goodnight. He graduated from Salado High School. He married Robbie Reue in Salado on November 24, 1948.
They moved to Corpus Christi for a few years before returning to Salado where Mr. Goodnight owned Goodnight Construction Company. He also managed Salado Water Supply for 22 years. He was a member of the Prairie Dell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Robbie Goodnight of Temple; 2 sons, Gary Goodnight and wife Tracey of Arlington and Alan Goodnight and wife Tammy of Salado; a daughter, Rene DePoy and husband Mark of Salado; 6 grandchildren, Brittani, Karleigh, Dacen, Cade, Sarah and Hannah.
