Donald “Glen” Halfacre, 87, of Iuka, Illinois passed away March 29, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born June 5, 1934 in Iuka, “Glen” was the son of Jesse E. and Wanda L (Payne) Halfacre. He married Freda Mae Phelps, September 1, 1956 in Jefferson Co., Illinois and she survives along with their children Teresa Diane (Larry) Winegar, Whitwell, TN., Sharon Kay Lyday of Iuka and Wanda Mae (Kenneth) Wuehler of Iuka, IL, daughter-in-law Glenda Halfacre of Chattanooga, TN, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Also left to mourn his passing are his siblings Jack (Linda) Halfacre of Iuka, IL, Bob (Gloria) Halfacre of Salem, IL, Dixie Slover of Salem, IL, Shirley Cook of Iuka, IL, and Linda Sue Rollinson of Salem, IL, sisters-in-law Ann Halfacre of Iuka, IL, Phyllis Davis of Salem, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Michael W. Halfacre, siblings Clinton Halfacre, Clarence Lee Halfacre, infant brother James Halfacre, Ruth and (Eldon) Burkett, Treva Nadine (Gene) Lauderdale, Mary Ann (Keith) Wyatt, brother-in-law Jim Cook and nephew, Eddie Hill.
