Donald George “Donnie” Evans, 62, of Cañon City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born December 19, 1958 to Glenn William and Hazel Louise Evans.
Donnie worked as a truck driver for Werner Enterprises for over 15 years, where he received multiple awards for his outstanding driving. Recently, he worked for U.S. Transport for the last 10 years.
Donnie’s greatest treasures where his two boys, Andrew and Shawn. They blessed him with two wonderful daughters-in-law and three beautiful granddaughters, all of whom he was very proud. Donnie will be remembered for his outgoing, flirtatious personality. He was always making others laugh and was willing to lend a helping hand anytime, to anyone in need.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew (Kayla) Evans, Shawn (Callie) Evans; granddaughters, Bailey, Emilia and Riley; brother, Steve (Brenda) Evans along with many others who loved him very much.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Hazel and brothers, Tony and Terry Evans.
