Donald Gordon Steele, 79, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 surrounded by his children.
Don was preceded in death in 2012 after 53 years of marriage by his wife Wilma Pinkerton Steele. He is survived by his daughter Cheri Stalls and husband Lloyd of Wilmington, son Greg Steele and wife Jane of Greenville; grandchildren Charli Saxon and husband Holton, Matt Steele and wife Kirstie, Maggie Stalls, Emily Steele and Drew Steele; Wilma’s brothers Dennis Pinkerton of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Hank Pinkerton and wife Celeste of Bayville, NY; many nieces and nephews and his loving dog Sophie.
Don, known to some as Herb, was born in Albion, NY to the late Edna and Clarence Steele on January 8, 1938. He graduated from Albion High School and earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
