Donald G. Marini 77, formerly of Peru, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at St. Josephs Hospital, Tucson, AZ. Mr. Marini was born August 17, 1932 in Peru, to Charles J. and Erma (Warner) Marini. He served in the United States Navy. He married Arden Liesse on July 12, 1952 at St. Josephs Church, LaSalle, she passed away April 7, 2000. He then married Carol Heyrman on April 19, 2002.
He was a graduate of Illinois State University in Normal, IL. Mr. Marini worked as a pipe fitter for Local 81 for many years. He was a member of St. Josephs Church in Peru, South Shore Boat Club, and Pipe fitters Local 81. He is survived by his wife; Carol of Green Bay, WI, son, Steve (Peggy) Marini of Dalzell, IL and daughter, Linda (Paul) Bergin of Lisle, IL, and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arden and one brother.
