Donald G. Beckwith, 89, of West Haven passed away at home July 12, 2011. He was the husband of Gertrude Dickson Beckwith. Father of Carol (Gary) Warner of Durham, Robert (Martha) Beckwith of Woodstock and Cynthia (Peter) Goettler of New Canaan. Grandfather of Christopher Warner (Ana Paola De la Cabada Vasquez), Julieanne Warner, William (Monica) Beckwith, Erika (Steven) Bourque, Cynthia and Samuel Beckwith, Elizabeth, Emily and Abigail Goettler. Brother of Neil Beckwith, Shirley Wilcox and the late Gordon Beckwith. He was born in West Haven, June 25, 1922, son of the late Orville and Mildred Beckwith. He served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1946. Donald was a 1950 graduate of the University of Bridgeport and following his retirement earned his MS and 6th year degree from S.C.S.U. Until his retirement he worked for Armstrong Rubber Company from 1951 to 1981.
