Donald F. Terry, age 84 of Freeport, formerly of Apple Canyon Lake, passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2017. He was born April 16, 1933 to the late Frank and Theresa (Hohlen) Terry. Don graduated from Forreston High School in 1951. He married Sharon Endress on October 12, 1958.
Don was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Massbach and served in the United States Army. He retired as a receiving manager for Sears and then opened his own grounds keeping business. Don enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, playing cards and sleigh riding with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Freeport; his son, Arnold (Fiancé Sarah Schwartz) Terry of Orangeville; his three daughters, Toni (Bob) Delander of Freeport, Kathy (Paul) Reed of Elburn, IL and Shari Hamilton of Charlotte, TN; his brothers, Charles (Linda) Terry of Deland, FL and Lee (Sharon) Terry of Pinson, AL; his sister, Sue (Merv) Roskam of Clermont, FL; eight grandchildren, Jessica Stuckey, Amy (Mike) May, Jenna (Justin) Campbell, Tatiana (Broc) Seitz, Cody Bardell, Danielle Bardell, Ryan (Jennica) Bouray and Macie (Jared) Wise; and four great grandchildren, Emma May, Eli May, Charlee Brockman and Bella Stuckey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Theresa; brother, Mervin and two sisters, Dorothy Rhodes and Mary Ann Nodine.
