Donald F. Provolo, 88, of Fairfield passed away peacefully Saturday at his home in the presence of his loving family. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late John and Josephine Provolo, he was a Fairfield resident for 60 years. Don was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a corporal in the Army Corps of Engineers for which he was awarded the Commendation Ribbon for Meritorious Achievement. He prospered in a long career as a plastics engineer and a professional drummer, with a passion for jazz.
