Donald F Minton, 85, of Anderson passed away on August 28, 2012 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
He was born on January 13, 1927 in Anderson where he resided most of his life. Donald graduated from Anderson High School and attended Purdue University. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Rose Marie Tegge on April 23, 1955. He was a service repairman for Sears & Roebuck for over 20 years and had worked at Bendle’s Lawn Equipment, US Post Office, and had driven a school bus for Hayden’s Transportation. He had also worked at Westside Sporting Goods and Universal Electric of Muncie. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Amvets Post 292. He enjoyed hunting , fishing, raising Black Angus Cattle, playing euchre, and gun and knife collecting.
Donald is survived by his son, Robert J. Faye Minton of Poway, CA, son, Michael T. Minton of Anderson, daughter, Cheryle M. Minton of Anderson, granddaughter, Lindsey A. John Hays of Lakeside, CA, grandson, Austin D. Minton of Anderson, grandson, Dixon A. Minton of Anderson, granddaughter, Jennifer A.Mark Zimmerman of Brooklyn, New York, granddaughter, Krystal M. Joe Bliffen of Brooklyn New York, granddaughter, Peyton J. Schroeder of Anderson, great-granddaughter, Keira A. Hays of Lakeside, CA, and great-grandson, Logan J.R. Hays of Lakeside, CA
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Rose Marie Tegge Minton, who passed away in January, 2007, and several brothers and sisters.
