Donald F. Heitzman of Melbourne, FL entered into rest on January 8, 2019. Son of the late Violet M. Heitzman & Carl F. Heitzman, brother of the late Jane Patterson. He served in the National Guard of New York State and the National Guard of the United States from 1947-1957. He was retired from Indian River County as a heavy equipment mechanic after 20 years of sevice
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruth A. (Lang) Heitzman; daughter, Marly (Charles) Herberger; son Kris (Sheena) Heitzman; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Don enjoyed bowling,roller skating and raising beagle dogs. He was an avid pidgeon fancier and won many races.
