Donald Eugene King (“Gene”) died peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2019. Born June 9, 1939 in Shelby County, Kentucky Gene is survived by his loving wife, June King, daughter Donna Martin, son Mark Sneed (Penny), son Jeremy King (Sarah), and sister Rosemary Stinchcomb. Gene was also cherished by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a kind, generous, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Gene was predeceased by his daughter Carole Denise King, four sisters and three brothers. Known for his humorous character and stories, he also had a great love for sports, card games, and puzzles. We are all at peace knowing that he has gone home to be with our great Lord and Savior. Loved and cherished by all, he will forever be in our hearts. He retired in 1999 after 30 years of dedication at the Ford Motor Company.
