Donald Edward Martin December 4, 1937 to August 28, 2011. Donald was born in Kansas and grew up in Denver Colorado. In 1958 he moved to San Diego to begin his career in the Navy. It was there he met Ellen Shaffer. They married and raised 6 children; Donald Jr., Tracy Lee, Kevin Andrew, Kimberly Lee, Kelly Lou and Scott Eugene. Donald Served 26 years in the United States Navy. In 2002 Ellen his wife of 44 years passed away. After being single for 3 years he met Martha Malstead in 2005 and they married and spent 6 wonderful years together. Sadly on August 28, of this year he lost his 26 year battle to cancer. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Grandfather. He was someone who always had a positive attitude. He will be missed by all of us who loved and adored him. He has survived his wife Martha 6 children 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
