Don was born to Annie and John on July 10th, 1923 in a small farming community in Northern Idaho.
The middle of three children he had an older brother and younger sister.
He joined the Army Air Corp in 1943 and was stationed in England working as a flight line mechanic. This is where he met his wife to be Vera. The newlyweds settled in Idaho after the war and had three beautiful children.
