Donald Patterson passed away peacefully at home, holding his wife’s hand, July 10th. He was 91 years young. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Patterson, his daughters Linda Psych, Donna Gail Bucholz, Shannon McPherson, son Scott Patterson, and step daughters Kathy O’Connor and Christy Schoonover; 20 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joanne Markeckevich, brothers John Harris, Douglas Paul and Larry Patterson; and 21 nieces and nephews. And of course, his faithful K-9 companions: Shadow, Artie and Charlie.
He came to Payson in 2000, moving here permanently in 2008. He was a member of St. Philips Catholic Church, and a Vincentian. He enjoyed his work at the food bank and loved the time he was a ROMEO (retired old men eating out). Don was a beloved husband, father and brother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
