Donald E. Kressaty, Sr. age 54, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband of Mary “Elizabeth” Weimar Kressaty, passed away after a long illness at home on Sunday, January 23, 2011 surrounded by his family.  Born on February 2, 1956, he was the son of the late Edward and Carmella Cavallaro Kressaty.  He was the nephew of the late John Cavallaro and Marie Rizzo who survived him, both of whom raised him upon the death of his parents. Don served with pride and honor in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era .He was a restaurant manager for IHOP. Known affectionately as “Coach Don”, he was a coach and past president of the Milford Junior Major League for many years.   Don was an enthusiastic and avid fan of his NY Yankees and NY Giants.  In the Fall of 2010, a Home Run Derby Benefit was given for Don. The outpouring of support was overwhelming for which the family was most thankful.  

In addition to his wife and aunt, he is survived by four children, Sharon Kressaty Hart and her husband Christopher of Portland, TX, Henry and Elizabeth Cecere and Donald Kressaty, Jr of Milford.  Also two cherished grandchildren, Caitlyn and C.J. Hart, a sister Donna Klein and her husband Norman of Wayne, NJ, a nephew and many cousins.
