Donald Eugene Huston, Sr. (84) beloved husband of Wanda (Henceroth) Huston and father, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 following a long illness.

Don was born in Salem Ohio and was the son of the late Ralph R. and Mary I. Huston. He and his wife graduated from Salem High School in 1950. Following his graduation from DeVry College of Chicago, Illinois, he opened a service and repair shop in his home for electronic devices. He went on to become a Sears’ serviceman and repaired/serviced almost everything they sold until his retirement.

He has been a lifelong member of Phillips Christian Church of Salem, Ohio. While there, he was involved with many of their building/remodeling programs, served as a deacon for most of his adult life and was a representative to Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp in Bergholz.

He was also an active member and at times an officer of the Tri-State Antique Car Club and had enjoyed participating in many events which they sponsored.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda, and was married for 64 years. They are the proud parents of six children: Donna (Ray) Moser, Donald (Gail) Huston, Bruce (Sandy) Huston, Dick (Sherry) Huston, Carol (Tracy) Ewing and Glen (Beth) Huston. They have 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sister-in-laws (June Henceroth and Winnie Halverstadt) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Nevin, Harry, Eldon, Glen and Jay Halverstadt.
