Donald E. Bergman, 86 of Greensburg, passed away, Monday, March 25, 2013 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1927 in North Huntingdon Twp., and was the son of the late Harold and Hazel (Peterson) Bergman .
Donald was proud to serve in the Navy during WWII. He was employed his entire career with Mellon Bank and retired as a Branch Manager. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg
In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Aiken.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Wilson) Bergman, a son, Donald McMunn Brown of Penn, a daughter, Rebecca Bergman Heaton and husband, James of Parkton, Md. .; six grandchildren, Kim Harshman and husband Scott, Melinda Juricich and husband Chris, Nikki Brown, Don Brown and his partner Allyson Volpato , Sarah Heaton, Jonathan Heaton and six beautiful great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Paul Bergman and wife Nancy of North Huntingdon, Pa. and a sister in law, Martha M. Chomko, and also Zetta Brown and was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews..
In addition to the other women in his family, he loved to spend time with “Sweetness”, his fishing boat where he spent many wonderful hours with family and friends fishing. Donald also enjoyed his wood working and golf.
