Donald “Donnie” Lee Munson Sr. 75, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
Donnie was born April 12, 1947 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Fronties William Munson and the late Yoular Jane Munson.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers Billy and Wayne Munson; and sister Diane Yow.
Donnie was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Albemarle, N.C. where he was a choir and congregational leader. Donnie also went on several church missions around the USA. He was known for being a life-long Carolina Tarheel Fan.
Survivors include wife, Brenda Kay Munson of Concord, NC, sons, Kevin (Amy) Munson and Donald Munson Jr., grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Leah, Andrew, and Samuel; brother Bobby Munson; and sister Bonnie (Roger) Kennedy.
