Mr. Donald David Roark, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on the morning of Friday, August 24, 2018 in Indianapolis. He was born December 10, 1932 in Orlinda, Tennessee, a son of the late David and Irene Odell (Stark) Roark.

Don attended school in Robertson County, Tennessee and was a member of the East High School graduating class of 1951. Shortly after that, he was inducted in the United States Army and proudly served his country.

Don was a carpenter and drywaller and worked out of the Indiana Carpenters Union and he was also a member of the Wood, Wire and Metal Lathing Union. Don was a hard working man and used his carpentry talents to help others, especially the elderly.

Don enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, playing chess, card games, NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon and watching football, especially the Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his sons, Allen Ray (Jeannie) Roark and Jeffrey David Roark; his grandchildren, Jeffrey David Roark, Ashley Morgan Sparks, Alyssa Shelby Roark, Gideon Roark and Gabriel Roark; his sister, Betty Hammer as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents; his wife, Phyllis Roark; his brothers, Gerald, Fort, and Bill Roark and his sisters, Winnie Fletcher and Rebecca Roberts.
