Donald B. Sperry, 91, husband of the late Jane Ann Esgar Sperry, passed away on December 19, 2015.
Don was the son of the late Arthur Gleason and Rena Bosworth Sperry. He graduated from Streetsboro High School in 1942, served four years in the US Navy, and earned his B.S. in Agriculture from Ohio State University. He met his sweetheart, Jane Esgar, married her in 1952, and raised four children. He, along with his wife, founded and built Sperry and Associates, Inc. He had a tremendous passion for family and an incredible sense of giving.
Don lived life to the fullest and enjoyed making memories. Family, friends, travel, golf, and tennis were among his many joys. He was a proud member of the Spanish Krewe of Springtime Tallahassee and Town Club. He is survived by his sons, Greg William Sperry (Deborah), Todd Hunter Sperry (Jodi); son-in-law, Bart Wells, all of Tallahassee, and daughter, Vicki Sperry Benton (Tony), of Crawfordville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Elwood Sperry, of Cleveland, Tennessee. Don was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Becky Wells; his parents; brothers, Arthur Sperry and Lyman Sperry, and a grandson, Joshua Sperry.
