Donald B. ”Slim” Robertson, 77, Anderson, died October 7, 2003 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born November 23, 1925 in Kentucky, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1948. He retired in 1989 from Thermogas in Anderson after 37 1/2 years of service.
He served his country in the US Army during WWII with Merril’s Marauders. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #127. Slim never knew a stranger. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Chambers and the staff at Manor Care for all they did for Don and them.
He is survived by his Children: William Cleo & wife Sue Staton of Dallas, Texas. Flora Mae ”Sissy-Cindy” Stanley & companion Floyd of Cullman, Alabama. Francis Godbey Staton & companion Karen Vannatta of Anderson. Sydney & wife Sandy Staton of Dousman, Wisconsin. Donald Bruce Robertson Jr. of Anderson. Sister: Rebecca & husband Leo Russell of Akron, Ohio. 11 grandchildren and several great grandkids. Special Friend: Jeff Hall.
He was preceded by his Wife: Frances Cooley Robertson on May 14, 2000. Parents: Polk Crane & Madge Fay Purdam Robertson. One Brother.
