Donald B. Fisher, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1939, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, to the late Otho and Ellen E. (Hodges) Fisher.
He married Wanda M.Davis on Aug. 24, 1963, Wanda passed March 4, 2016.
Surviving are their children, Jason (Ruth) Fisher, Beth (Matt) Van Galen, Joe Fisher, Nicole (Kenya Barhams) Fisher, Jack Fisher, Jeff Fisher, Becky Coy and a sister Drema Thieke, also several grand and great-grandchildren survive as well.
Donald was the owner of RWD Sales in Elkhart.
He was the driving force behind the Wall of Heroes at the corner of Marion and Oakland Avenue. The wall holds the pictures of about 300 soldiers, firefighters and police officers from Indiana, who have all been killed.
Don also enjoyed bowling and was a member of Victory Chapel.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
