Donald Arthur Kingsley, age 88, of Layton, Utah, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, June 20, 2022. Don joined the Navy out of high school and would dedicate the next 27 years of his life as a radioman serving various international posts on land & sea, retiring in San Diego, California as a Master Chief Petty Officer (E-09).

Over the course of his life, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved traveling, camping in his travel trailer, backpacking, fishing, playing cribbage and dancing. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He volunteered time as a scout master during his early years in the Navy, and as an assistant soccer coach during the 80’s.

He will be remembered, along with his late wife Glenda, as the parents and grandparents who ventured past the lines of their own blood to raise and nurture family relationships and give their love to so many others. They were also known for their charitable hearts and often helped provide Christmas gifts to children of families in need. Don will be remembered as the orchestrator of the annual Christmas party where he would passionately, and charismatically lead “The 12 Days of Christmas” to a decades-old recording of the Mitch Miller sing along album. He and Glenda were the glue to a very large family of children, grandchildren, friends, and relatives that will all miss them dearly.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Pattsi and Joan; Son, Michael; Daughters, Sharon, Vicki, and Debbie; and Grandchildren, Kayla, Christina, Danielle, Josh, Dillon, Wyatt, and McKenna.
