Donald A. Fricke, 65, of Palatka, died on September 11, 2021, at Mayo Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. He was born on August 21, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Florida at the age of 18. Donald moved to East Palatka, Federal Point, in 2010 with his wife, Anita Fricke. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Federal Point. He worked for Northrop Grumman for 30 years as a Proto-mechanic of aircraft. Donald loved making things with his hands and traveling the country in his and his wife’s RV. He loved doing things with his family and grandchildren, especially.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Arthur Fricke, and Patricia Louise Benningfield.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Anita Fricke; 2 daughters, Leigh Ann Jones, and Ashley Goode (Earl Timothy); a sister, Cathy Rogers; a brother, William Baer JR.; and grandchildren, Ryleigh Bevis, Jazlyn Goode, Jayla Goode, Krissy Vansant, Christy Neudeck, Michael Neudeck, and Devin Meadows.
