Donald Allen Magelitz, 63, of rural Waverly, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at his home.
He was born July 19, 1952, in Jacksonville, the son of Alvin A. and Wilma J. Meier Magelitz.
He is survived by his son, Allan (Tish) Magelitz of Cheyenne, WY; daughter, Donna Reeves of Chatham; grandson, Bryton Magelitz of Chatham; mother, Wilma Magelitz of Waverly, sister, Bonita (Jeff) Schone of Bluffs; and brother, Larry (JoAnna) Magelitz of Virden. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Magelitz had been an over-the-road truck driver for many years, and had also enjoyed farming. He was a licensed pilot and had a passion for flying, and was skilled at woodworking. He especially enjoyed his Mountain Dew.
