Andrews, Donald A., Sr.
80, a longtime Scottsdale resident, passed away on November 30, 2010 surrounded by his wife and children. Don was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was generous, patient and a kind soul, loyal friend, and role model. He will be greatly missed by all who have been blessed to know him. Don was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University, was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and served in the Army and Army Reserves. Don spent much of his professional career in Personnel, Employee & Labor Relations in healthcare, including more than 10 years with Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky. In 1979, he moved his family from Kentucky to Arizona to accept a position with the then, Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Don retired from the American Compensation Association (ACA) in 1995.
