Donald Allan Hoffman, 45, of Anaconda, MT, went to Heaven on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Don was born Dec. 6, 1968 in Flint, Mich.
Above anything else, Don loved the Lord. He was a Christian, and enjoyed going to church and reading his Bible
He graduated from Elk Rapids High School, Elk Rapids, Mich., in June of 1987. Upon graduation, Don served his country in the United States Army. After his discharge, he became a truck driver, and logged over 2 million miles, driving big rigs for 12 years.
In 2008, he met the love of his life, Tawn Blakeslee, in Kalkaska, Mich. They were married after a long engagement, on September 21, 2012, in Hardin, MT.
Don loved to travel, and had many traveling adventures with his wife. He also loved anything to do with the outdoors, and enjoyed target shooting, archery, hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, riding his Harley, and anything else outdoors. He very much enjoyed music. He sang and played guitar. He loved to dance with his wife, no matter where they were when the urge to dance overtook him.
Don loved people, and he never met a stranger. He was always on the lookout to help anyone he could, and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He volunteered at the local food bank, and had dreams of starting a literacy program in his community. He loved children and animals, and they loved him in return.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Tawn Hoffman, of Anaconda, MT, his mother and stepfather, Donna and Dan Krogel of Williamsburg, Mich., his brothers Tim and Jeff Hoffman and David Krogel, his dear children, Austin, Donald Jr., and Ashlynn Hoffman, stepchildren, Rachel (Cordero) Cloud, of Hardin, MT, Emily (Conrad) Majszak, of Traverse City, Mich., Joseph and Miranda Bower, of Munising, Mich., grandchildren, Leon Cloud, of Hardin, MT, and Alexis Majszak, of Traverse City, Mich., many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relations, and dear friends scattered all over the world.
