Donald A. Blood, 74, of Alameda, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 25, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Alameda for 21 years. Donald started in the computer industry in 1965 and retired from Wells Fargo in 2000. Donald was a passionate sailor and was a member of the Oakland Yacht Club and the San Jose Sailing Club.
Son of the late Lillian and Edwin Blood. Donald is survived by his wife, Eileen Blood-Golden, two sons, Peter and Paul, and a daughter, Karen Snodgrass, and eight grand children: Leigh Anne Galetka, Danielle Marheine, Krissy Marheine, Joseph Marheine, Eric Blood, Katharine Blood, Jessica Blood and Lauren Blood, and four great grandchildren.
