Donald A. Skinner, 72, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at IU Health Arnett Hospital.
He was born September 15, 1949, in Lafayette to the late Thomas Dale and Delilah Frances (Wilson) Skinner. He was a graduate of Wainwright High School. On April 17, 1976, he married, Janice M. Butler at Stidham United Methodist Church, and she survives.
Donald was a very active member of Stockwell United Methodist Church. He worked first and foremost as a farmer, but he also spent 46 years working at Alcoa so he could continue farming.
He enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, fishing, mushroom hunting, and gardening. He was a Purdue sports fan as well as an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Along with his wife, Janice, he is survived by his 3 children, Jason W. Skinner of Lafayette, Jennifer (Josh) Dimmett of Newburgh, Laura (Matt) Gross of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, Simeon, Elizabeth, and Jonathan Gross; and a sister, Claudia J. McGuire of Lafayette.
Donald will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
