Donald A. Seaborne, 88, of Methuen died on Thursday May 2, 2013 at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.  Donald was born in Lawrence and moved to Methuen at an early age.

During WW II, Mr. Seaborne served two years in The Pacific on The Aircraft Carrier, USS Langley CVL 27 where he was wounded in combat.  Among the many decorations awarded to Mr. Seaborne were The Purple Heart, Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V, Navy Unit Commendation, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with nine battle stars, Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two Battle Stars, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation and The Combat Action Ribbon.

Donald was pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years, Louise (Cedergren) Seaborne and his son, Scott Michael Seaborne. He also leaves his brother Roger and several nieces and nephews.
