Age 85, of St. Paul
Preceded in death by infant son, Kevin, sister, Jane (Bob) Bement, husband, Richard & daughter-in-law, Cathy. Survived by sons, Daniel (special friend Teresa Wieler), and Gregory; grandchildren, Deborah (Shane) Wurst, Christopher (Kelly) and Erin; beloved great-grandsons, Colin, Cameron and Caden; siblings Mary Ellen (Tom) Wheeler, Kathleen (Walt) Marac and Joetta (Lefty) Harrington. Dona quietly endured considerable adversity in her life and transformed that into a profoundly strong faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. She was a long-time servant at St. Luke’s Church as wedding coordinator and President of the St. Luke’s Women’s Club. She was also well known as a Goodrich Avenue neighbor and former employee of Kowalski’s Market on Grand. Her warm Irish smile, easy laugh and charming personality touched countless lives and she tirelessly provided service and care to others, always leaving things much better than when she found them. Those of us who were fortunate to know her should enjoy some chocolate and memories of this very special lady. The Dunn family also wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at The Alton Memory Care and Our Lady of Peace Hospice for the assistance, comfort and dignity they provided to Dona during her six-year struggle with dementia.
