Don Sheridan, Jr. was born May 7, fifty-one years ago, in Plainfield, New Jersey.

He was the second of 5 children born to Don Sr. and Rose, and was by far, the most mischievous of the kids.

The family moved to Colorado and Don spent his childhood riding dirt bikes, tormenting his siblings, playing with their horses and taking apart mechanical things. He learned by doing – he taught himself how engines and a multitude of other things work.

Don was a natural athlete at Rocky Mountain High School and won many wrestling championships. He became an emergency medical technician and worked for ambulance companies in Denver and Brighton – and that is where he met Kelly, a Paramedic who would, in 1990, become his wife. Don attended St. Anthony Paramedic Program and graduated in 1991. He spent over a decade in this profession. They had one daughter, Emily, who captured her daddy’s heart forever.

Don went on to own a couple of small businesses for 20+ years and worked tirelessly. He loved traveling with his wife and daughter – he most enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean.

He leaves behind a wife, Kelly, a daughter, Emily, a son in law Michael Mahoney, his parents, Don Sr and Rose, siblings Mike, Kelli, Wendy, Tricia (and their families) as well as many friends and extended family.

Don firmly believed that “everything happens for a reason” – we know that the love and laughter he brought to our lives made us better people.

As Richard Bach wrote, “Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.
