It is written that when life begins it is like an open book with many blank pages; each day that we live our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes in death and await that great getting up morning. Don Everette Trotter was born on October 5, 1946, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Elbert Trotter and Camelia McCoy Grove. He was first of three children born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Clemson and Wayne. Don received his formal education in Denver where he attended East High School. He later earned his GED. On March 4, 1971, Don enlisted in the United States Army. While in the Army, he earned a National Defense Medal, a Vietnam Svc Medal w/1 Bronze Star, Aircraft Crewman Badge, a Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 1960 Air Medal, One Overseas Bar, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm, a Marksman Badge w/Automatic Rifle Bar. He was honorably discharged in 1975. Don was the proud father of La Sandra, Donald, Charles, Airrik, Lynette, Damon, Keith and Crystal. They all shared many happy and memorable moments together.
