Don E. Leasure, 78, Anderson, died May 17, 2009 at Countryside Manor, Anderson. He was born February 25, 1931 in Metropolis, IL, and resided in Anderson, Indina. Don graduated from Kennard High School and lived in Anderson most of his life.
He retired from General Motors – Guide Lamp after 34 years of service. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Solar Lodge #734, Past Master of Solar Lodge #734, Worthy Patron of Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife whom he married on May 23, 1952, Mildred Mosley Leasure. Children: Teresa husband, Bill Hazelbaker of Middletown, Donald Leasure of Anderson and Jane husband, John Trueblood of Virginia Beach, VA. Sisters: Sadie Eller of Pendleton and Nancy husband, Robert Heineman of Anderson. Grandchildren: Scott wife, Heather Hazelbaker, Tracey Hazelbaker, Ryan Trueblood, Derek Trueblood and Shane Trueblood. Great granddaughter: Jasmine Hazelbaker. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Hattie Pierson and Charles Leasure. Brothers; Aaron Leasure and Fred Leasure. Sisters; Geneva Lowe, Vivian Parsons, Mildred Manlove and Mary Lou Unroe.
