Don D. Givens, 79, Houston, Texas died August 11, 2003 at Cypress Fairbanks Hospital-Houston, Texas after an extended illness.
He was born January 26, 1924 in Sneedville, Tennessee, and resided in Houston, Texas. He lived in this area all of his life, moving to Texas in 2000. He retired from General Motors after 47 years of service.
He served his country in the US Army during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge. He received the American Theatre Medal with two Bronze Stars and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge #681 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and Madison County Shrine Club.
He is survived by his Daughter: Loretta Gilbert Ozuniga of Houston, Texas. Sister: Joyce & husband Jack Engle of Chesterfield. Brother: Dallas & wife Dessie Givens of Anderson. Grandchildren: Matthew Ozuniga and Zachary Ozuniga, both of Houston, Texas. Several Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Agnes E. Carmack Givens on August 11, 1989. Parents: Wiley & Ressie Matilda Willis Givens. One Brother: Dean Givens. One Sister: Dama Forney
