SettembrinoDominic M. “Sonny” Settembrino, of Folcroft, Pa, and formerly of Overbrook, passed away on January 23rd, 2020.Survived by his devoted wife Arlene (nee Antonelli) Settembrino; his loving sons, Dominic A, Settembrino (Renee) and Michael A. Settembrino (Berthelina St. Mark); his cherished grandchildren Dominic 4th, Angela, Andrea, and Antonio, also his beloved sister Frances Fazio.Proceeded in death by his parents the late Josephine (nee Ferrino) and Dominic F. Settembrino, and his adoring sisters, the late Theresa Tavani and Josephine in Philadelphia Dominic “Sonny” was raised in the close-knit Overbrook neighborhood. He enjoyed sports, cars, auto racing and good times with family and friends. He graduated from Dobbin’s Vocational School earning certifications in auto mechanics in 1962. After working as a mechanic for a short time he found his calling as a carpenter. He was a member of the Armed Forces 102 Engineer Battalion serving our nation. He co-founded Cameo Construction with his longtime life friend. He was a rough framer building houses from the ground up with his partner. He became a master carpenter finisher. As his body started to get tired of the labor and outdoor work he set his sights on Kitchen and bath design. He became an accredited designer for his skills receiving many certifications.. He loved auto racing and time spent working on race cars with his sons and crew. He was later voted Vice President of Airport Speedway where he was well-liked and respected. He enjoyed time with friends and family and later in life became a grandfather. He enjoyed time with his grandkids and assisted in their formative years, teaching them and showing them his ways.
